Learn about the health and healing aspect of trees as we walk with mindful intention amongst nature.
Many parks in London offer a variety of settings, which provide a wealth of opportunities to lead guests on a mindful walks, moving from thinking to being and experiencing the present.
For these Woodland Mindfulness events we have chosen Russia Dock Woodland in Rotherhithe as the setting.
A core element of Mel Sutton’s Mindfulness through Movement programme is to teach ways to be mindful in everyday activities. This opens up opportunities throughout the day to be mindful, rather than having to attend a class specific session.
In addition we invite participants to experience the health and healing aspect of trees through experiencing the biological changes that occur within as we develop a mindfulness practice.
To walk mindfully requires the participant to leave behind the chattering mind.
We pay attention to the breath and rhythm of our step to focus on the present.
We will practice gentle Yoga movement as we begin to connect to breath and body. This is a powerful way to feel the body & breath & our connection to the our higher consciousness and the earth.
