In celebration of trees and woodland, we are supporting London Tree Week (27 May – 4 June, 2017), with the help of the Woodland Trust.
Mindfulness in Nature 12.30pm-1.30pm Wednesday 31 May. Ruskin Park, London SE5 8EL – meet inside the Park at the Denmark Hill pedestrian gate. A 60 minute mindfulness through movement walk, lead by Health Coach, Mel Sutton. This is a free event.
Trees are the lungs of our cities helping to absorb pollution and purify our air. On this walking creative production you will experience your breath and how to use breathing to connect to your senses, learning to calm the mind and focus the brain. Feel the mind-body connection as you walk through trees.
The walk will include various stops for different activities that will calm, provoke and expand awareness of yourself and the trees around you. The walk will end with a pictorial or poetry creative expression of the event, all materials will be provided. This walk is suitable for all levels whether you already practice mindfulness as part of your daily routine or you are a beginner.
This walk is for adults only please it is not suitable for children.
