- Find no better way
- To be inspired by gardens
- Claim calm from bustle
William Morris long associated with the Arts and Crafts movement, drew inspiration from his own gardens, influencing garden design, both here and in the USA. The William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow are celebrating his garden design work, and artwork of contemporary artists from the Pre-Raphaelites and the Bloomsbury Group with a wonderful exhibition called “The Enchanted Garden”.
The Gallery is within a 15 minute walk of Walthamstow Central (Victoria Line & Overground) and sits on the edge of Lloyd Park. Should the weather be temperate we will venture out – a fantastic opportunity to be inspired to write haiku.
We recommend you eat at the Gallery cafe. We will provide a writing journal and pen!
The William Morris Gallery and the London Borough of Walthamstow have kindly allowed our Hidden Garden Haiku walkshop to visit the exhibition, however, this walkshop is organised independently of them.
£12 in advance / £15 on the day (£2 cash back on the day if you have previously contributed haiku to a Museum of Walking haiku anthology)
