Haiku, 3-line short form poems first devised in Japan, have a long association with nature. This inspiring walkshop will take you from novice poet to wordsmith in under 90 minutes.
Andrew Stuck from the Museum of Walking will guide you through a series of exercises that will enhance your connection with nature and encourage you to write and recite haiku, and submit them to be included in a ’zine anthology – created as a fold-your-own from a sheet of A4.
Suitable adults and children 12+, book a ticket for each person.
Please note this activity takes place outdoors, please dress appropriately, and adhere to instructions from the workshop leader at all times for safety.
This session will fill up, so advanced registration is strongly advised.

The London Wildlife Festival is a new and exciting urban event celebratingthe conservation and culture of Britain’s living world. Curated by London Wildlife Trust and David Lindo, The Urban Birder, the two-day event will be held at Europe’s largest urban wetlands, Walthamstow Wetlands, located just a 15 minutes tube journey from King’s Cross station. Taking place over the weekend of 9th – 11th August 2019.
A great weekend out with fun activies for children and families, and also a great programme of talks and workshops for Wildlife Enthusiasts, and anyone with an interest in green spaces in London and beyond.
