Romantic Toronto

To coincide with the Walk21 Conference in Toronto in the first week in October 2007, Rethinking Cities conducted a romantic ‘walkshop’ in which participants discovered what elements go to make places and walks romantic.

In addition, the Toronto Design Exchange hosted an exhibition panel that included text from Romantic Ribbons e post cards. Canada’s National Post posted an article about the Romantic Ribbons initiative in their edition on Saturday 20 October. Interest in Canada spread west with an exhibition of Romantic Ribbon postcards shown at the Banff Centre of Arts and entries from Calgary and Vancouver.

Don’t be shy, recommend your favourite romantic urban place or walk.

Check this Google map to read some of the entries.

The Romantic Ribbons initiative ran from 2006 – 2011.  This article previously appeared on the Rethinking Cities website.
