We are delighted to welcome Paul Wood, author of “London Street Trees
and “London is a Forest” to lead a 2 hour walkshop to Explore the
Urban Forest.

Join Paul to take a close look at the awesome urban forest in E17. This walk starts at Walthamstow Central Tube Station, and ends at Wood Street Overground Station, just a short distance from one of the highlights of this walk – the Wood Street Horse Chestnut, one of the Great Trees of London.

As well as the venerable old Horse Chestnut, we’ll see a surprising diversity of other trees, both young and old including unusual maples, a swathe of birches, hazels, foxglove and Indian bean trees.

We meet just by the station at the entrance to the appropriately named Planetree Path where it joins Selborne Road. Please note that this walk ends at Wood Street Overground station.

Ticket prices: On-line, in advance £15 if booked by 20 October / £18 thereafter / £20 on the day
