A 90 minute walkshop aimed at adults or children over 12 in discovering how ‘Truth’ is commemorated in the City of London, in which you get to compose and recite haiku – 3 lined short poems usually associated with Japanese culture.

Be inspired by the monuments and churches within the City of London, as we go in search ofTruth’ – the theme for this year’s National Poetry Day

Novice or expert, join in this fun walking activity in which you get to compose, write and recite short 3 line poems (known as haiku) and see your work published in a ‘zine anthology.

Sculpture of Paul Reuters, founder of the news agency that bears his name.

We carve an arc through the City of London, seeking out ‘Truth’, by starting at Cannon Street station, past the London Stone, to the Foreign Exchange where Paul Reuters is commemorated and moving to the Bank of England, where their bond is their word.  We will be making our way beyond St Paul’s and the Old Bailey, where ‘Truth and Justice’ are upheld.  What injustices and lies are buried beneath surface of the City? – poetry will out.
