Opening our new season of Urban Forest Explorations, to coincide with a new book from Paul Wood: London Tree Walks. Paul is the author of ‘London is a Forest’ (2019) and ‘London’s Street Trees‘ (one of the Guardian’s Nature Books of 2017) and the Great Trees of London Map (2020). We entice you to Explore the Urban Forest from Acton to Ealing.
This 45 minute guided virtual tour takes in highlights from one of the 12 routes featured in Paul’s new book, ‘London Tree Walks’. Paul will take us on a live, virtual walk using Google Streetview as well as his own images and talk about each of the trees he has selected.
This fascinating wander through leafy west London takes in several arboreal curiosities including the story of an elephant buried beneath an oak tree, and a huge Swamp Cypress marooned on an Acton street.
Urban Forest Explorations are produced by the Museum of Walking.
Once you book, joining instructions will be sent to you within 3 hours of the event start – also check your junk mail, just in case!
To book, there is no set ticket price on this Virtual Tour – we give you a choice at three price points below – we hope you appreciate the efforts we put in to put these events on – many thanks, Andrew & Paul.
