A site specific short sound walk novel written (in French), including soundscapes, musical compositions, and “book” illustrations that appear on your screen when approaching specific places in the National Garden of Athens. The novel is inspired by the “cat” village La Romieu in France, including narratives of the inhabitants of La Romieu about their personal relations with cats. For Sound Walk Sunday 2019 and at the occasion of the International Book Fair of Athens and the Analogio Festival 2019 in Athens, this locative media – sound novel is extended and transposed to the city of Athens, another place where stray cats are unseparable from all day city life.

Text was written by Christian Porre, soundscapes and drawings by Stefaan van Biesen. Media walk design by Geert Vermeire focusing on interaction between text and places.
