Part of the first ever Urban Tree Festival, we are delighted to welcome yoga and mindfulness teacher Mel Sutton to lead a walkshop on Mindfulness in the city.

We are crowdfunding to raise money to keep ticket prices low for events during the Urban Tree Festival – our crowdfunding campaign runs until the 1 May – and you can secure a ticket for this event by pledging £10 to our crowdfunder campaign.  This not only secures you a ticket but also brings in a further £10 as Trees for Cities are match funding every pledge until we meet our target of £1,500.

Mindfulness in the city

Mel Sutton – Yoga & Mindfulness teacher

Who says you can’t be mindful in the heart of the city?

Join us on this urban oasis as we learn some mindful techniques. Experience how the mind and breath are closely entwined. As we calm our breath we experience a calmer mind and a spiritual connection to the earth. Walking and breath, connecting to the senses and using colour and sound, this will be an immersive experience into mindfulness.

Being outdoors and connecting with nature is a wonderful and nurturing way to develop mindfulness and experience a deeper connection to our surroundings.

This walk is suitable for all levels whether you already practice mindfulness as part of your daily routine or you are a beginner.  Meet inside the garden entrance on St Giles Passage. The event includes a walk to nearby Phoenix Gardens WC2H 8DG.
